Pro Choice

I am a Pro Lifer! I believe that unborn babies with heart beats have the right to live, even if they are attached by a placenta that sucks nourishment from it's host like a parasite.
I am pro choice, as well. I believe women have their choice before they get pregnant. They can choose whether or not to have sex in the first place. Seeing as the only way you can get pregnant is by having sex CHOOSING to not have sex is your CHOICE. Let's say women really want to have sex without having a baby. That can be done, too. Try using any of the dozens of birth control methods out there. Most of them are available at any store, are easy to use, inexpensive and have a high success rate. Seeing as most of these methods are 99% accurate, that still leaves a chance for life to find a way and to still get pregnant. When you CHOOSE to have sex and use birth control you are CHOOSING to take that 1% chance of getting pregnant and therefore must accept the consequences.
Even after you are pregnant, you still have choices that will allow you to not become a mother that don't include murdering a helpless fetus/baby. There is adoption. I can name 10 people off the top of my head I know or a friend knows that want to have children but can't. They would take your unwanted child in half a heartbeat!
Now, in some cases women don't have the choice of having sex. This is by rape or incest. I totally understand not wanting a nine+ month reminder of the horrors of such acts. There are also cases where having the baby could cause death to the mother. I believe abortion should be an option in those cases.
But, for the most part, women who end up pregnant do have a CHOICE. They CHOOSE two steps before pregnancy could even occur. They CHOOSE to be intimate with their partner and they CHOOSE to have sex with their partner knowing the consequences of their actions could include pregnancy and thus, a baby.
I notice lately that people who were once called pro life are now being called anti choice. I am testifying to you that we aren't anti choice any more than pro choicers are anti life.
You can choose your actions, but you cannot choose the consequences of your actions.
