Mopping Up

I was mopping my floor the other day and was thinking... Wouldn't it be cool if I could just strap two sponges on my feet and skate around the kitchen like Pippy Longstockings did??? Do you think that method would be as effective as me getting down on my hands and knees and scrubbing away?
